NEBU CONSULTING LLC, named after the ancient Egyptian goddess of gold, "Nebu", is an independent geological consulting practice founded by Avrom E. Howard, a professional geologist and certified gemologist.  NEBU provides a variety of research, analysis, field work, project management and related services to the international minerals exploration and mining industry.

Mr. Howard is a native of Toronto, Canada.  He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Toronto, and a Master of Science degree in Economic Geology from the University of Colorado (Boulder).  Subsequently, he obtained certification as a Gemologist from the Gemmological Assocation of Great Britain.  His professional experience spans a wide variety of mineral commodities, geological settings, countries and continents.

Mineral exploration is, to a large extent, an exercise in diagnosis.  What is the underlying meaning of the almost always incomplete information that can be gathered by first-hand observation at surface, supplemented by second hand information that can be derived from various sources such as satellite imagery, geophysical and geochemical survey data?  As with any such exercise, experience, expertise, an ability to observe then think critically and independently, and to distinguish what is of significance from what is superficial, are the keys to success.  This is how NEBU approaches all of its assignments and where it can make a significant difference for its clients.
